Inside we have such a lovely assortment of pretty purses, dresses, and jewelry, not just for bellydancers, but for all gypsy ladies.  Of course there are gift certicates available for any amount that works with your budget.

Check out our 2 dance studios, where we offer over 30 classes in bellydance, flamenco and African dance and browse to your hearts content in our very unique store which features stylish clothing in sustainable fibres of hemp with NOMADS HEMPWEAR, bamboo and soy from MOVE as well silks and sequins to dance in, to stroll in, to shine in.

 West African Dance Workshop With Masani St Rose!!!!

Join us on Sunday, Feb 28th for a 90 minute African dance workshop with Masani St Rose.  We can't think of a better way to say good-bye to February!  Good for all skill levels.  Cost is only $20.00

If you like it you can also sign up for her classes in our Spring session starting April 11th (on our classes page).

 Mid-Winter's Fest - Saturday, February 20th, 6 to 10PM for the gypsy spirit and body! Store will be open Sun Feb 21st from 1 to 4PM only.  Come and visit with Sandra, the designer.

UPDATE FEB 4th:  This event is nearly full for Feb 20th, so if you want to come please let us know asap! We want you to come too.

Dark midwinter will soon be upon us.  Banish the darkness with a bohemian evening of music, laughter and the sensuous velvets, rich lace and golden trimmings of Gypsy Circus.

This event is FREE but please RSVP with us as soon as possible so we can accommodate everyone.

Bedouin Beats is delighted to host our first Gypsy Circus Trunk Show on Saturday, February 20th at 6PM.

This candlelit evening will banish the dark of February with the rich, clothing designs of Sandra Iannuccilli, the fabulous creator of Gypsy Circus of Montreal.

The evening will feature live music from 6 to 7PM as you sip cider, browse unique designs and chat with Sandra and friends.

The rest of the evening will be filled with with ladies showing how it all works together with High Priestess dresses and skirts, colourful, fringed Cache Coeur tops, petticoate pantaloons and all the other lovely confections Sandra will bring with her.

Then you can try on and dress up to your hearts delight!

A word on sustainable fibres or "eco-fibres" .  What do you want next to your skin?

First of all, you should know that these "eco-fibres" are sustainable because they are from natural, renewable sources like hemp, bamboo, soy, flax and organic cotton that are grown without synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.

 The fabric that results is healthier for your skin and often considered hypoallergenic.  It is naturally anti-microbial as your clothing breathes, wicks moisture away from your body, dries fast and smells fresh.

Hemp is on of the strongest fibres in nature and has wonderful insulating qualities, which is excellent news for our cold winters.

Did you know that bamboo cloth is 100% bio-degradable?  Nice.

Bedouin Beats Supports The Memorial March for all the Missing and Murdered Women of Edmonton - February 14 at 6PM.

On February 14th, 2010 the 5th Annual Memorial March for all the Missing and Murdered Women of Edmonton will be held at Sacred Heart Church on 10821-96 street at 6PM to 10PM.

 This peaceful march honours and remembers all the women we have lost in Edmonton to violence and homicide.  The march begins at Sacred Heart Church and continues through the inner city past the Edmonton Police Headquarters and the Edmonton City Hall.

Since 2006 Winnipeg, Toronto, London, Edmonton, Vancouver (originating city)  and Calgary  are cities where men and women march to show solidarity on February 14th,

Edmonton has over 133 women that have been deemed missing or murdered.

 We need people to come out and help raise awareness for our fallen sisters.  

Walk, or volunteer in the kitchen or become a sponsor.
